The production and utilization of bio-gas provides environmental and socioeconomic benefits for the society.
Unlike fossil fuels, biogas is permanently renewable, as it is produced from Organic waste like vegetable market waste, animal manure, municipal waste, agricultural waste, press mud etc., in a Anaerobic digestor. The raw biogas consists of Methane (CH4), a Greenhouse gas (GHG) 60 – 65%, Carbon-Di-oxide (CO2) 30 – 33%, Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) and Siloxanes.
Raw bio-gas is upgraded by removing CO2, H2S ans Siloxanes to capture Methane at > 90% purity and then used as an alternative to fossil fuel for thermal purpose (cooking gas), electricity generation and automotive fuel as Compressed Biogas (CBG).
